PARIAH...1) a female, 2) Black and 3) a lesbian. Shot

Hey peeps, ok, a friend sent me the sneek preview of all this in one powerful film and after watching it, i was like...phewwww! I mean its a movie that you need to watch and hey, if it has not gotten near you, ask a friend who can lay his/her hands on it to grab you a copy. It's a must watch!

Let me let you guys on a brief intro about the film.

Alike (Adepero Oduye) is a teenager, who one could say has three strikes against her by being 1) a female, 2) Black and 3) a lesbian. Shot in New York City, Pariah explores what it means to juggle multiple identities and the toll that can take. Alike juggles these identities in order to gain acceptance from her family and friends but, at some point, this becomes too much. As Alike finds, many of the gender constructs that society imposes apply not only to relationships involving men and women, but also same gender relationships.
Pariah

Pariah has screened at over 40 locations, including the Sundance Film Festival and the Pan African Film Festival. Currently, the film is a semi-finalist in the Netflix Find Your Voice Film Contest. To cast your vote for Pariah, click here.

SKUKI : Stamina (featuring Mo’Cheddah) The singing duo: SKUKI is made up of two brothers, Tumininu ‘TUMI’ Ogunniyi and Atewologun ‘PEESHAUN’ Ogunniyi. The name 2much was initially adopted for the group but over time they became dissatisfied with the name. In the summer of 1999, during a conversation with friends to coin a new stage name for their group, Peeshaun made a funny sound that got everyone laughing. He was asked what the funny new word meant and he claimed he had no idea; that it was just one of his spontaneous inspirations.
