Ok, few weeks ago, there rumours of Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola’s move to start taxing churches, the whole issue which became an issue of intense debate at various cadres was laid to rest recently when the Gov. Said he has no intention of doing so. He said: “Religious leaders are not different from you and l, if they earn an income by the way of the activity they do as salary clearly, it is only right and proper that they contribute to the common wealth, to the common pool, to the common development. After all, they use the road, their children go to schools, and their wives use the market, they also use water, they enjoy the benefit of the security that we fund”.

OK, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK??? It has not ended o! He also noted:

“Here I am, my father is a Muslim, I am a Muslim, and my mother is an Anglican. My wife is catholic, my siblings are Pentecostal. This matter has gone to court before, and the court said if religious organizations won a property that is let out and is making money, it must be taxed, the court has decided that.”

It seem as though the acquisition of properties seem to be the main thing, more like the hottest ‘crude oil’ business. Super eagles and Olympique Marseille of France left full back; Taiye Taiwo is currently erecting an eye popping mansion in Festac Town of Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

Described by experts as an architectural masterpiece, the near construction building with tasteful layout with finishing materials from France is a sight to behold. A state-of-the-art decor and Jacuzzi, spacious parking lot, a recreation centre with a beautiful dinning are some of the features.

The 24 year old soccer star has also shelled out 95 million naira for another property in the same Festac Town. This time, a duplex located on 72 Road.

Taiye Taiwo only few weeks back had a bouncing baby delivered to him by his wife.

P-SQUARE FACES EJECTION???

While some seem to be having the beast of time in the face of global economic meltdown, acquiring and even building some of the most expensive estates, other's are having it the other way round. This life eh, na wa oooo!
The duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, also known as P-Square, may be facing ejection from their residence in the next 14 days.
This was made known by Chief Charles Nwangwa, the landlord of their house.

According to Nwangwa, the duplex at 2, Agoro Street, Omole Estate, Ikeja, Lagos, was rented by Peter and Paul Okoye and not by Jude Okoye, the musicians’ elder brother.

He said the musicians have breached their contractual agreement by converting the boys’ quarters of the duplex to a music studio.
The angry landlord also revealed that contrary to the media reports that the musicians own the house, they are actually tenants.

In addition, he said that Jude Okoye was fond of denying him access to his younger brothers, who actually paid for the rent.
According to, Jude Okoye, who spoke on behalf of his siblings, said that the landlord visits whenever he likes without prior notice, adding that the man took offence because the musicians do not entertain him with the kind of wine he usually asks for.

Okoye insisted that he is entitled to privacy in the duplex, even if he rented it.
It was learnt that the N1.7million rent they paid for three years, would expire next year.
