After making the news recently with his second consecutive appearance on Rych McCain’s annual list of Hollywood’s most talented kids, Ghanaian-born Hollywood child star, Kwesi Boakye is back in the news again! This time, the 11 year old actor is making a guest appearance this week on TNT’s ‘Southland’, an American drama series created by writer Ann Biderman and produced by Warner Bros Television.
Kwesi plays the role of Richard, a kid who leaves home after his parents had abandoned him. He is rescued by the Southland cops and taken to a foster home where he is physically abuse. Richard bounces around until he finds a good home. Kwesi comments that he really felt sorry for his character and in future, he would like to help homeless kids and orphans.
Southland is a drama series that takes a raw and authentic look at Los Angeles and the lives of the LAPD officers who police it. The show centres on the experiences and interactions of LAPD patrol officers and detectives, and it is more a character-driven drama than a police procedural. Southland stars Regina King, Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy and Ben McKenzie
