AFRICA INVADES GHANA FOR AMAA NOMINEES PARTY


All attention in Africa will certainly be on Ghana come 6th of March.

The Independence Day celebration will be climaxed later in the night as attention will shift to the Mensvic Grand Hotel, for the Africa Movie Academy Awards nomination party in Accra, the biggest event gathering in Africa, the equivalent to the Oscar of Hollywood.

Event managers of the show RYTCONCEPT say the event is gradually taking shape with the confirmation of all the participation of all the big names and stakeholders within the African movie industry. The best of Hollywood would storm Accra from the 5th of March to participate in the 6th AMAA nominations party here in Accra.

A blend of both new and old actors who matter in Nollywood coming to grace the red carpet include Osita Ihemeand chinedu (aki and popo), Akintola Abimbola Mary-Anne, Amijo Mofe Richard(RMD), Olu Jacobs, Nuttal-Henshaw Kate, Akume Akume, Afolayan Kunle, Yamahan Portia, Pmewura Enyinnaya Bond, Ireoegbu Dicson Nnamdi, Sam Dede Jacobs Ajoke and Isikaku Emmanuel Odinaka.

Obviously this cannot be without Ghana’s own showbiz stars. Aside of the main act by the most sought after musician J Martins ,the comedian and surprise artistes from Ghana and other Africa countries, the tall list of stars expected for the show will certainly divert attention from the main event to the red carpet as these personalities will come under the piercing lenses of the paparazzi and their fans.

Other big name movie stars from Kenya, South Africa and Cameroon will also be in town for the event with over 100 media men expected to cover the event.
Among the high profile dignitaries include the governor of the Bayelsa state, home of AMAA, Timepre Sylva, CEO of AMAA, and Peace Anyiam Osigwe.
Unlike other events witnessed in the country, this show promises to be one of a kind, a real party as guests will be treated to good traditional African and contemporary music, comedy show and lots to eat and drink.
