2face and Mary J Blige in the studio + Naomi Campbell’s Africa Spread – What’s Your Take?

Hey peeps, hmnn...somehow i woke up feeling pretty bored, i mean i don't know or can't seem to put a face on it but am hoping that bythe time i leave here, i will be feeling better.

I really dont feel like doing this today either but then again, my hand's and my mind can't help doing what it know's how to do best...so here i am, doing the blog.

We are greatful to God and also to the life of (Uncle) PETE EDOCHIE, he was released laet last night. This was confirmed by his son and also the President of the Actor's Guild of Nigeria...Really, May the almighty God continue to protect and guide us all in Naija!!! AMEN....

Few weeks ago, the Nigerian media had a swell time with the whole @face and R'Kelly collabo thingy...it was'nt funny, but still, life must go on...i did say that the desire to blog is'nt that strong today but I decided to post these images of 2face and Mary J in the studio so that the general public will not be in doubt or question the authenticity of the song when it eventually surfaces as they did when they heard the ‘Flex‘ track ft RKelly.

Mr Idibia is a true international Artiste; he continues to put Nigeria on the map in the international scene. The song will be posted as soon as we get it.

Naomi Campbell’s Africa Spread – What’s Your Take?

Anyway, am not sure what Naomi Campbell’s motivation for this was, but maybe we also can get some form of motivation from it hopefully...;))

These photos will be in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar and were taken by French photographer, Jean-Paul Goude. Does it matter that Goude has a daughter with another world-renowned Jamaican-American model/singer/actress, Grace Jones?

I can’t say that I am surprised anymore by one-dimensional images of Africa. You can look at National Geographic or scan the history of American and European cinema to see Africans, and other indigenous groups shown as primitive — nude, but for a cloth covering their lower regions (and in many cases, shown fully nude), and unable to communicate unless through clicking noises— so, it’s okay to show some women’s breasts but not others?

It is no wonder why so many people are misinformed about the diversity of Africa. I remember one time, while in high school, after my boss found out I was Nigerian, his very next question to me was, “Do you guys speak English?” to which I replied, “I’m speaking English to you right now, aren’t I?”

So, do the images like the ones above help to reinforce stereotypes and should we be concerned, or do we have bigger fish to fry?
