Oh, its always fun, each time i get to the office and i spend some few hours with linda Ikeji before dashing out for some meetings...Ok, todays topic, GAY AND SEX! who is gay? how can you say if a guy is Gay or Bisexual? na waoooooooo! I cant belive the things am hearing...ahh! did Linda just say 'oko da lara? ( d**k is good for the body)...hmnn...na waooooooo, what is our small world turning into?
Anyway, I cant believe i have not been here for a week ...wow! how amazing...i tried all i could to get on here but each time i sit behind the system, something crops up and take me to anothe relocation. You know how Nigeria is, getting sponsorship for events, most especially when it comes to Pageants. Its been exciting and fun because the days of running around the streets, knocking on offices, endless calls and almost(i knew thats what i was doing but then i just had to...) making some people uncomfortable around me, just for contacts that can produce something for the event.
MR. & MISS INTERNATIONAL NIGERIA has taken shape. I really want to thank all the Support brands and sponsor's that have indicated interest to be a part of the show. Our promotional campaign starts first week of April.
Meanwhile, how many of you have seen the silverbird Living Legends roll call? Hmn... thats another day's post. I got this from a friend M-Nets Legend celebration, i think it makes a whole lot's of sense.
Great Africans on M-Net
M-Net will soon celebrate some of the greatest visionaries Africa has ever had, for their passion and their determination; for their self-sacrificing contributions and their selfless dedication; and, above all, for their leadership through times of challenge and times of change. Dr. Wangari Maathai, Julius Nyerere, Nelson Mandela, Emperor Haile Selassie and Patrice Lumumba–these great African leaders have championed the causes of millions, inspired the imaginations of their people, and driven the dream for a more successful, brighter tomorrow.
In this spirit, M-Net has produced seven dedicated films which will profile these unforgettable icons, these unmistakable legends, these Great Africans. The series will also profile the charismatic revolutionary, Captain Thomas Sankara, and noted Nigerian academic and scholar, Professor Wole Soyinka. Whether you agree with their motivations, argue their significance or debate their merits, these great Africans influenced the course of African destiny and their impact continues to reverberate around the world, as much as their words resonated with those who followed them.
DStv audiences can tune in for Great Africans on M-Net, every Sunday, starting on April 5. The first one-hour documentary will profile Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Wangari Maathai, followed by documentaries on Patrice Lumumba (12 April), Julius Nyerere (19 April), Wole Soyinka (26 April), Thomas Sankara (03 May), Emperor Haile Selassie (10 May) and (17 May).
Ghana gets a Music Video Awards
For the first time in the history of Ghanaian entertainment, an award ceremony that fully rewards artists and directors of music videos took place in Ghana. The maiden edition of the 4syte Music Video Awards came last Saturday at the Accra International Conference amidst fantastic musical performances and cheerful jubilations. Kojo Antwi also took home the award for best directed Music Video. Hiplife trio, Praye, also won the Best Group video and the best storyline. Best Gospel Music video went to Daughters of Glorious Jesus, and Rex Omar won the Best Photography award. The event was organized by 4syte Studios in collaboration with TV3 and sponsored by Zain.
The First Ever African Fashion Week
The African Fashion International has released the long awaited announcement about the first ever African Fashion Week, an eight-day event scheduled to take place in South African from the 12th to the 19th of June 2009 at the Sandton Convention Center.
This long overdue event will feature multiple designers from all over the African continent, giving them a stadium to showcase and celebrate their creations with other fellow Africans. This is good news for Africa with hopes that this will be an annual event bringing together more African designers as the first African fashion week grows beyond what it is expected to be.
