'we're taking over, yeah...we're taking over'...ok, rather unfortunately, that's much of the very popular song(from Akon) that i know.
Peeps, is this still my blog? ...pretty yes! am i entitled to say what ever and how ever i want to say what ever and what ever i want to say? again,. certainly yes!
So, pardon me if you think am going gaga but then i think it's worth mentioning that there is something about when you pray, not just actually pray, when you communicate with the father, and not just even communicate but when you actually fellowship with him...i mean speak in other tongues; don't know how many of you peeps know it, do it or have even tried it but i highly recommend it!
You know, some mornings when you just wake up feeling light but 'high', you know happy, excited, just name it...you can't really put a face on it immediately but somewhere deep within, you can feel that excitement that just makes the butterflies in your tummy just make that humming sounds...guess that's the mood i am right now, after a long session of having that quality time with baba God.
Anyway, wats up with you guys? I had a couple of events this weekend, in fact, VIP ones; the Guinness 250 years anniversary, the City people Liosionell fashion Show and a couple of few other major one's but guess what, 30 monuites to getting all decked up for the the Guinness show which was saturday, i got cold, vomit followed everywhere and then...blank i went.
Perhaps, i wont bore you with the rest of the gory details but am ok now, after a long talk with baba, am all hale and hearty...doing the blog...simply amazing! not to worry, i will still bring you peeps pix from those events.
So, today its CELEBRITY MARRIAGE!
Marriage they say is a blessing from God, there some couples you see and they just make you wanna...you know what i mean single guys and ladies and others make you wish you would never be a position to have to marry.
I know that's it's not easy being a celeb, at least with my few months of celebrity'doom(wetin na dey think of me sef, na no no sey me sef i be 'seleb'? ah...lol), now there is even much more work that goes into a marriage that has the two couples as celebs and oh, trust me, am not a critic but personally, i don't think most of our Nigerian stars have really gotten the message of celebrity couples, that not withstanding, a few have no doubt defined it all in their own way...despite that drama and controversy...(no be talk am oh, but at least you guys know of a few that have shown how shallow their union has been over time, with all sort of petty exchange of unprintable words over the Nigerian media)
Ok, i dont know why i decided to do this today of all day's but may be...i just might be considering marriage sooner than you guys think so, all the singles ladies, please start sending in your applications NOW!..LOL...
ok, I bring to you few of the Loving couples in the limelight;who are both accomplished and comfortable supporting each others endeavors. Here are the couples that i think model what it is to be successful in ALL aspects of your life.
9ice and Toni Payne
9ice and Toni Payne finally tied the knot in July last year. Despite fame and fortune, he has consistently held on to his lady who is firmly behind him and very supportive of his music career.
Liya Kebede and Kassy Kebede
Liya Kebede is always in the limelight and Kassy Kebede, an Ethiopian hedge fund manager, is her strong, silent, man behind the scenes. Although her modeling takes her around the world, she and hubby still have what it takes to keep the love fire going.
Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga
Jennifer Hudson has had a very hard previous year but she has been able to weather the storm, thanks, in part, to her fiance, David Otunga, who has been there with her through the pain. Her tribute to him was moving, as was her performance on the Grammy Awards. David Otunga is reportedly interested in pursuing a career with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
Heidi Klum and Seal
This is a couple that has managed to remain close and romantic in the limelight. She is busy with her shows and he is busy with his performances, but they find plenty of time to get silly with the kids. Great relationship
Nicole Ari Parker and husband actor Boris Kodjoe
Nicole Ari Parker and husband actor Boris Kodjoe are a wonderful couple. They have a daughter who has Spina Bofida and they have been actively trying to raise money to support research for it. Great together, and great family people. They balance work and family well.
Gelila Bekele and Tyler Perry
Gelila Bekele and Tyler Perry are both very busy. She models and he just opened his motion picture and movie studio. They have been seen at several events (charity and fun) together.
Chef Wolfgang Puck and wife Gelila Assefa
Wolfgang Puck and Gelila Assefa have been married for a while. He is a celebrity chef who has worked on several charity events and she is active in promoting charity events, particularly those focused on children.
Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons
They have been together for a while and are expecting their first child together later this year.Personally, i just love Djimon, i think he is cute...did you guys knew this chap when he was still a model? oh gosh! he exudes sexiness...trust me.
Hmnn...e no easy ooo! so many things were really running through my mind while i was getting all of these together, i asked myself a couple of questions; do we really need to get married, why do we even marry? after marriage what next?
A full flash back of the movie 'why did i even get married', starring janet kackson came to mind...(have you guys watched that film? i recommend it!)
Ok, these are my takes, whats your take? I will like to know the celebrity couples that makes you have goose pimples...you know, the one's you simply can't have enough off, or the one's you secretly wish you could be...ok..that's going to deep right?...))
Am out, catch you folks later
For now, am out!
Cheers!
