I stumbled upon this beauty on Twitter and since then she has become one of my favorite models.
Discovered at the tender age of 15, she was quickly recognized for her athletic build, flawless cocoa complexion and damn near perfect face! She definitely had someone watching over her shoulder though, because she finished high school before launching her carreer in the fashion industry (wikipedia).
A graduate of the Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music, Art & the Performing Arts (think “FAME”), Damaris studied and excelled in Dance. Her knowledge of the performing arts has helped her immensely in her modeling career; not only giving her a toned, lean and model size body, but giving her the ability to take amazing pictures (Modelinia). She walks the runway with an acute conciousness of her limbs down to the tips of her toes and fingertips, yet keeps her walk looking totally natural and uncontrived. Landing major contracts with Sports Illustrated (in 2009, 2010 and 2011!) , YSL makeup and Victorias Secret PINK; and walking in runway shows for Elie Tahari and Baby Phat…this Ford model is showing all the signs of a supermodel in the making.
