Forbes released their list of top 5 earning hip-hop artists recently. And this means actual ‘performing’ artists, unlike Russell Simmonds who’s always been behind the scenes so that’s why he’s not on this particular list. Diddy tops it with his Sean John Clothing on the front line and Ciroc partnership right behind it. Jay-Z is shortly behind. And then there’s everybody else. The list is compiled by valuing current holdings, looking at past earnings, leafing through financial documents, talking to analysts, attorneys, managers and other industry players.

4. 50 Cent ($100 million)
