When the rumor mill started swirling with rumors that Facebook was going to shut down after 6 years on the internet, people started panicking. Bottom line, if Facebook ended, the world would be coming to an end shortly after that.
Okay, so no while i don't totally believe that, but i came across some funny things that would happen to the world if Mark Zuckerberg decided to pack up his $500 billion company and shut down the book.

You wouldn't be able to "defriend" someone digitally...you'd actually have to tell them face to face that you no longer want to be their friend. It's time to bring back, "talk to the hand!"
People would no longer be able to legitimize stalking
People wouldn't know longer be able to hide behind the safety of anonymity and the honesty box...they'd actually have to be honest
People wouldn't be able to pretend to be more badass than they are.
People would have to read books instead of reading someone's Facebook updates
People would have to remember their friend's birthdays without a friendly reminder from Facebook
People would be able to grieve the loss of their relationship in privacy without 10 of their friends writing on their wall asking what happened
