[Sarkodie & Babs]
Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has been officially unveiled as one of the new pioneering African artsites and new signee to Akon's Konvict Musicfamily.
The unveiling which took place in Ghana according to officials of the Konvict Music group is aimed at tapping into the rich and diverse music talent that Africa has, while projecting and promoting these talents to the international community.
Responding to questions from the press, Babs, the President of Konvict International assured Ghanaians that the deal is real and together with the Konvict Music brand, he would make an international artist out of Sarkodie without changing too much about the artist. Babs cited the challenges of doing music in Africa and promoting it in the international market; with particular mention of the lack of support from fellow Ghanaians.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of greater tidings for our local artistes and we hope that they will deliver the same content that can be marketed on the international scene...
