2010 HAUTE AFRICA FASHION WEEK ..AND CELEBRITY FASHION ICON, VIVICA A. FOX AS HOST.


The African Chamber of commerce has partnered with Fashion Hp and Blokes and Divas to bring Dallas four day fashion showcase, February 24-28. Hosted by actress Vivica A. Fox, Haute Africa Fashion Week will feature the world’s best African designers unveiling their creative forecast of the season’s trends, to a global audience.

Fashion Hp, a fashion event production company based in Dallas and Blokes and Divas an international fashion label, alongside the African Chamber of Commerce are planning The multi-day event that will be held at various locations throughout Dallas and include runway shows, industry networking events and business seminars. HAFW will showcase cutting-edge African fashion and includes exhibits of African brands and fine art as well as world-class entertainment.

Designed with an era of international sourcing and product marketing in mind, HAFW is presented as a one-stop shop for luxurious African labels and products. HAFW is the largest African fashion, lifestyle, entertainment and trade event ever held in the United States and is designed to provide global economic opportunities and cultural exchange.

Over 30 International designers Such as Martial Topolo Blokes and Divas, Anggy Haif, The Hemma, House of Bunor, Nobel Afrik Collection and many more staking their claim to HAFW’s catwalk and many international businesses (such as) signed to participate. HAFW will showcase many established, as well as up-and-coming designers and businesses. HAFW has garned interest for and is attracting, dignitaries, designers, top models, celebrities, entertainers and influential leaders from all spectrums of today’s society.

HAFW’s host, Vivica A. Fox, who aside from being known as incredible actress, is also regarded as a style icon who is always a Red Carpet favorite. As an authority in top fashions, Fox is also an exemplary representative of Haute Africa Fashion Week vision to illustrate the nexus between African and western culture and promote African luxury.

As we approach the millennium development goals 2015 deadline, there is still a lot of work to be done in Africa, especially in the health sector. As a result, this year, Haute Africa Fashion week will feature a yellow dress collection which will be donated by international fashion designers to raise awareness for malaria which is the number one killer of children age one to five in Africa
