Reatlity TV fever in Africa is back as M-Net searches out Africa’s newest superstar!Idols!!!
It’s M-Net’s biggest season of Idols ever. A massive seven city, seven country blockbuster search.
The competition is open to anyone from 18 and 27, the new season heads to Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.The new season of Idols is also open to citizens of Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Reunion, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia and Swaziland.
The judges
The judges are :Botswana hip-hop star Scar (a.k.a. Thato Matlhabaphiri) Kenyan radio DJ Angela Angwenyi and successful Zambian music producer Trevor ‘TK’ Siyandi
Nairobi auditions
l had a sneak peak of the Nairobi auditions yesterday and was unimpressed!!! The majority of hopeful idols auditioning were so bad it wasn’t even funny!!! Then somehow, i just have to ask, how come over 70% of the hopefuls are all doing gospel??? East Africa must be a very "HOLY" region, or what do you guys think?, even in all of thats, Only few peeps managed to get the golden ticket!!! let’s hope we will be blown away by the upcoming cities auditions…And we aren’t feeling those judges as well , Too full of themselves we think…
Did you watch the Idols east Africa premiere also? what were your first impressions???
