In a revealing interview with the magazine, Kimora praised Djimon’s fatherhood skills saying ,

“He’s so hands on. He holds the baby and flicks the doodies. You wouldn’t think a guy would be so hands on, so supportive, so strong yet so gentle”.

The couple, who reportedly got married in a secret traditional ceremony in his home country before her divorce to Simmons actually called his relatives in Benin during labor.

“It was amazing! During labor I thought ‘We should call Africa!’. So we had Djimon’s family on the phone in Africa on speaker so they could hear the pushing and the first cry.

“It was a long labor. This was from 9 o’clock at night until 11 o’clock the next morning. I was so surprised because they say your third child is supposed to pop out but he did not pop out”.

Even though the labor was hard, Kimora concluded the interview by saying , “I’m really blessed. I’m in a great place.I don’t really know how to put my finger on it exactly, but I feel like I’m on the second wind.”

SOUNDCITY MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS NOMINEES AND WINNER'S FOR 2009

Finally, the much anticipated, much talked about, the much promo'ed and the biggest (ok, personal opinion though...;)) Musical awards has come and its gone...so, what next?

Been trying to joggle down the event in writing but each time, i have had to cancel, so, in few words i will tell you how it went down.

Last year, i was at the maiden edition of the SMVA and oh, it was fab. You know how soundcity always does it, they seem to have the magical wand and it was all so tight...expectedly this year, it wasnt the whole of Nigeria that just wanted to attend the event, in fact the whole of Africa and beyond...believe me, getting an invite to attend the SMVA was like a Nigerian getting an American Visa. I wont mention name but there was a former MBGN beauty queen who was crying on the fone to Denrele for an invite, infact, she wont mind at all, if she had to buy it...phewww! that will give you an idea of how scarce and how much of importance the SMVA had in the agenda of people...Well, Yours truly was there and oh, all the artistes were fantastic, from the Mohit crew(by now, i need not say it...if you are a regular reader of this blog, you would have noticed that yours truly is kinda bias when it comes to the Mohits crew...for me, the are the best thing that has happened to naija music and having had the opportunity to have worked with the team, believe me, they are just fantastic and all so real) to Tu_face to M.I. to Weird M.C., banky W., Eldee, Bigiano, Jozi, Mia Mims, Dare Art-Alade and a whole bunch.

It was a night if you missed then you truly have missed!

The hall was so ful that even our own 'biggest' naija celebs didnt mind standing...you know...anyway, am working on getting pictures from the event but in the main time, here are the winners (in BOLD and GOLD) from the second edition of the SMVA.
